The programme includes live performances by the Field Band Foundation, whose brass and movement ensemble champions youth development through the arts, and the Ramon Alexander Jazz Band to close off the first day’s proceedings.
About the Field Band Foundation
The Field Band Foundation (FBF) is a South African non-profit organisation that empowers young people through music, dance, and life skills development. Founded in 1997, FBF draws inspiration from the American marching band tradition, reimagined through African rhythms and movement, to create a uniquely vibrant performance style.
Through its arts-based programmes, the Foundation fosters holistic youth development, building confidence, discipline, and emotional resilience while addressing key social and economic challenges.
