Join the SA cultural observatory as it teams up with Prof Margie Cullen for a virtual capacity building workshop which will discuss the Industrial Development Corporation's Entreprenuership Development Initiative.

Prof Cullen will take virtual participants through the IDC's

  • Sectoral focus.
  • Funding products.

She will then focus on the IDC's Value Proposition for the creative industries including a:

  • Explainer of SME-CONNECT.
  • Snapshot of a Special Schemes and Concessionary Funds.
  • Project Development Capability & Masterplans.
  • Partnership Call to Action.

Prof.Cullen is a an associate professor to MBA and DBA students at the Nelson Mandela University Business School, and she develops course materials and supervises MBA and DBA student research.

The South African Cultural Observatory (SACO) took part in a discussion with the stakeholders in the Museum industry on the professionalization of heritage in South Africa. The discussion was aimed at finding ways to professionalize the work Museums do in SA. The Museum stakeholders would like their work to be qualified by SAQA so that when they enroll students, they (students) can come out with a qualification that is graded.
