You're invited to attend the South African Cultural Observatory's Capacity Building Workshop

The workshop will cover the following topics;

What is intellectual property? What is the role and purpose of intellectual property and intellectual property law? What are the various forms of intellectual property? What are copyrights, patents, trademarks and designs? How are the different forms of intellectual property regulated in South Africa? What should artists do to acquire, protect and benefit from their intellectual property? What are the ways in which intellectual property rights can be infringed? What are the remedies to the intellectual property rights owner if the rights are infringed?

Why come? To find out and understand what your rights are concerning Intellectual Property in the South African Arts Industry.
