THE SOUTH African Cultural Observatory (SACO) is committed to developing talented young researchers interested in pursuing a post-graduate degree related to arts, culture, research or statistics in an effort to grow the sector’s research base in alignment with the SACO Research Agenda.

THE LITERATURE Advisory Panel of the National Arts Council is hereby inviting applications from independent South African publishing houses and publishers for its special grant in the attempt to redress scarcity of leisure books in African languages.

The National Film and Video Foundation (NFVF) council has announced a call for nominations for individuals to serve as members on the foundation’s Advisory Panel. The Advisory Panel members will fulfil the statutory role to advise the council on the merits of applications for grants and on any matter relating to South African film/television/electronic/media or any other related field which the council deems essential.

The International Fund for the Promotion of Culture (IFPC) has opened a call for funding.

The National Film and Video Foundation (NFVF), an agency of the Department of Arts and Culture, provides film and video-related funding in the broad categories of Education and Training; Development; Production, Marketing and Distribution. As of 1 April 2016 the NFVF concluded a change from four to three funding cycles per year.
