Women in sports

This panel celebrates and examines the role of women driving transformation across South Africa’s sporting landscape. Bringing together leaders, innovators, and trailblazers, the discussion explores issues of visibility, representation, and leadership in sports — from community development and governance to professional coaching and media advocacy. Panellists will reflect on the progress made, the ongoing challenges to equality, and the strategies needed to ensure that women’s participation and leadership are recognised as central to the future of sport in Africa.
