Andre Le Roux

André Le Roux is the Managing Director of IKS Cultural Consulting, Head of the Concerts SA Project, and serves on the boards of the Market Theatre Foundation and the Audit and Risk Committee of Music in Africa. He is also the Southern African Focal Point for the African Culture Fund. A highly regarded African cultural activist and arts manager, André previously served as Managing Director of the SAMRO Foundation, the largest private contributor to music development in Southern Africa, and as Executive General Manager of Corporate Affairs at SAMRO, the continent’s leading music rights organisation. Over his career, André has held numerous leadership and advisory positions across the arts and culture sector, including as Chairman of Business and Arts South Africa (BASA), Vice Chairman and Founding Board Member of Music in Africa, Chairman of Arterial Network South Africa, and member of the UNISA Music Foundation board. He has also contributed to the National Arts Council of South Africa, the National and Eastern Cape Departments of Arts and Culture, and the Institute for Democracy in South Africa (IDASA), among others.
