Mammatli Thakhuli-Nzuza is a Facilitator, Educator, and Arts Entrepreneur with a deep commitment to creative social impact and human rights advocacy. She holds a Master of Arts degree in Applied Theatre and drama from Wits University. She is the co-founder of Mankokosane Playback Theatre Collective, a platform dedicated to community storytelling and social dialogue, and the Creative Industries Marketing Stokvel (CIMS), a pioneering initiative that promotes shared marketing, resource pooling, and sustainable growth for cultural entrepreneurs. An Applied Theatre practitioner by training, Mammatli teaches Theatre for Human Rights for Drama for Life at the University of the Witwatersrand. Her work is grounded in capacity building and enterprise development within the creative sector, enabling artists and cultural practitioners to flourish sustainably. Her projects have included arts-based interventions in rural and urban communities, capacity-building workshops for emerging creatives, and theatre processes that explore lived experiences of inequality, transformation, and healing. Through her work, Mammatli continues to champion the role of the arts in advancing human dignity, dialogue, and social change.
