Mandla Ntlanganiso

 

Mandla Ntlanganiso is a seasoned sports executive and transformational leader with over two decades of experience in public administration and the governance of sport. Known for his sharp strategic mind, Mandla brings a rare blend of policy expertise, grassroots development insight, and lived boxing experience to every table he serves. Currently the Chief Operations Officer of Boxing South Africa, Mandla has held several pivotal leadership roles in the sector, including Acting CEO and Accounting Authority of the organization. His journey in boxing began not behind a desk, but inside the ring, as a passionate amateur boxer. From there, he rose through the ranks to become Manager of the Cape Peninsula University of Technology:Boxing Club, President and General Secretary of the Western Cape Boxing Organisation, and served as National Development Officer: Boxing at the South African Student Sport Union (SASSU). In 2011, he made history as the youngest board member of Boxing SA, where his impact on governance, transformation, and youth-centred development initiatives was immediately felt. Mandla’s unwavering commitment to youth empowerment and sports-led nation-building continues to drive his mission: using boxing not just as a sport, but as a life philosophy. A strong advocate for inclusivity and sustainable investment in African sport, Mandla is regularly called upon to speak on matters of transformation, stakeholder engagement, and institutional change within high-performance and developmental sport systems. He holds a BTech in Business Administration and is currently pursuing his MBA, underscoring his lifelong commitment to growth, leadership, and impact.
