Nelisile Thanjekwayo

Nelisile Thanjekwayo is an Executive and Head of Legal and Compliance for a leading multinational in the mining and manufacturing sector. She also serves as a Non-Executive Director of Columbus Stainless (Pty) Ltd. A recipient of the Norton Rose Fulbright scholarships, Neli holds LLB and LLM degrees from the University of the Witwatersrand and a Master of International Law and Economics from the University of Bern, graduating cum laude. In 2021, she was recognised among the Mail & Guardian Top 200 Young South Africans for her leadership in law and business. Beyond her corporate career, Neli is an author and social impact advocate. She is the creator of Coni Colours the Constitution, a children’s rights book endorsed by Constitution Hill, designed to educate young readers about the South African Constitution in an engaging and accessible way.  She is passionate about inclusive education and sustainable community development.
