Daisy Chesang

Daisy Chesang is currently the creative pathway lead at GOYN Mombasa (Global Opportunity Youth Network) Anchored by Swahilipot Hub Foundation.

Her role in the creative sector is to identify career pathways and entrepreneurship opportunities for the opportunity youths in Mombasa. This is through various interventions, such as developing a demand-driven curriculum, training, funding opportunities, and finally policy
development for the sector.

Daisy is a focused leader with 6+ years of experience in Program Management, Innovation strategies with a focus on a human-centered approach to problem-solving in sectors of Entrepreneurship, Startup development, and Creative Initiatives. She has jointly worked on various projects, including developing the ongoing Mombasa Film Policy and Creative Business Training and placing over 200 youths in Mombasa.

Before joining GOYN, Daisy worked with Metta Nairobi, leading the implementation of one of the innovative programs, the CDNA Program by The British Council and FCDO; A 1-year incubator focusing on skills exchange, UK-Kenya fashion linkages, and venturing into frontier
markets in Africa. She also worked with Pangea Accelerator and launched a $300,000 worth of investment opportunity for initiatives intending to scale within the African market under the Scaleup Program 2021.

Daisy holds a Bachelor's Degree in Human Science from Kenyatta University and recognition in the Creative & Innovation Hubs building under the British Council EA. She has also supported the research and mapping of the different sub-sectors in the creative economy through recently
launched reports under GAN-GDI, Hivos East Africa, East African Arts at the British Council,
and Kenya Fashion Council separately.

She continues to volunteer, mentor, and support idea developments in the creative industry.
