Joseph-Matthieu M. Mundadi is a PhD Candidate at the University of Venda and a Research Assistant at the Directorate of Research and Innovation. As an emerging researcher, he is a member of the CCIFSA Vhembe District since 2018 to date. He initiated and coordinated community arts and culture projects funded by the National Arts Council (NAC) and Gender Links. Mr. Mundadi collaborated with the National Children’s Theatre Trust (NCTT) in 2016 to mentor and provide capacity development to women and youth in performing arts. As a youth mentor in project implementation, performing and visual art; his personalised conversation with youth of our programme living in rural areas at a time convenient to them helps them to unlock their potentials and achieve their goals. A results driven, self-motivated and resourceful arts consultant and specialist with an ability to successfully translate desired moods, messages, concepts, and underdeveloped ideas into imagery, and projects; Joseph has interests are in photography, cinema, comedy, drama and poetry; while having much love in Fashion and Graphic Design. With excellent presentation and communication skills; capable of developing and communicating industry-leading creative concepts; strong conceptual thinking; Joseph possess abilities to collaborate, network and partner with local and international funding agencies. Therefore, with my experience in coordinating community based projects and ability to undertake research on issues affecting our societies, Joseph strongly believe that he can bring something on board because he is pregnant with the desire to learn and unlearn new dimension on art, development, environmental and health issues and work at the grassroots level while also willing to bring on board his little expertise and experience in order to champion the causes of the challenges facing our society and implement solution-driven projects in rural areas for a sustainable future.
