THE Durban International Film Festival (DIFF) taking place from the 13th to the 23th July 2017, has opened its call for film submissions. This is the 38th year of the Durban International Film Festival. The DIFF’s focus in 2017, is to give young South African and African filmmakers a platform to showcase and launch themselves in the film industry.
Filmmakers can submit their shor, documentary or Feature Fiction films to be screened in the DIFF. All submissions are done through the DIFF visitor page, where applicants must create an account free of charge. Criteria for submissions can be found on the DIFF website.
Unfinished films can be submitted, however applicants must highlight that it is still a work in progress and state the completion date. Submissions must be of films from 2016 and 2017. There is no charge for entry. Deadline for entries is 28 February 2017.
