Honouring Mandela - A Day To Give
On Mandela Day, Gelvandale High School hostel received assistance from the South African Cultural Observatory, Nelson Mandela University, and other various organizations. Together we dedicated our time to gardening and cleaning duties to improve living conditions for the students residing in the hostel.
Gelvandale High School which is situated in Helenvale in the Northern Areas of Gqeberha, had recently started a food garden with hopes of providing its pupils with healthier meals. In support of this initiative, SACO gladly contributed by supplying cleaning detergents essential for maintaining proper hygiene within the schools premises.

The discussion was aimed at finding ways to professionalize the work Museums do in SA. The Museum stakeholders would like their work to be qualified by SAQA so that when they enroll students, they (students) can come out with a qualification that is graded.
