THE 16th edition Metro FM awards nominees have been announced. These awards will take place on Saturday, 25 February 2016 at the Durban International Convention Centre (ICC). The theme for this year is “What’s Next is All That Matters”, a continuation from last year’s “Legends Don’t Stop, They Ask What’s Next”.
Afro Soul singer, Amanda Black is leading with five nominations and Babes Wodumo, Kwesta and Nasty C with four nominations. The prestigious Song of the Year award is highly contested this year with popular songs by Amanda Black (Amazulu), Babes Wodumo (Wololo), Black Motion (Imali), Dr Malinga (Akulaleki), Durban’s Finest (Umsindo), King Monada (Ska Bhora Moreki), Kwesta (Ngud), Lebo Sekgobela (Lion of Judah), Musa & Robbie Malinga (Mthande) and Nasty C (Hell Naw).
