#SACOConf2018 Celebrates International Women’s Day

CREATIVE WOMEN: The South African Cultural Observatory (SACO) celebrated women in the creative industries this International Women’s Day at its international conference in Nelson Mandela Bay on 8 March 2018. From left, Avril Joffe (Wits University), Andrina Moodley (The Fort Network), Qaqamba  Ngwenze (model) and Singonbile Musundwa (The J&B Hive) who are discussing the future of the creative economy, which includes transformation and gender.

IT WAS announced at the 2018 Teksmark (Text market) that the Baxter Theatre Centre and the National Afrikaans Theatre Initiative (NATi) will collectively contribute an additional R200 000 to ensure the inclusion of isiXhosa texts to the already Afrikaans and English selections from 2019 onwards.
