Trevor Noah’s star continues to shine beyond our shores, a confirmation that our cultural and creative industries products can be successfully exported and traded anywhere in the world. He is nominated for a Grammy Award in the Best Comedy Album category for his Son of Patricia album. The award winners will be announced at a ceremony to be held on January 26 in Los Angeles, USA. The category in which he is nominated, he is pitted against some of the industry’s greats that includes Dave Chappelle, Ellen Degeneres, Jim Gaffigan and Aziz Ansari. Whether he bags the coveted award or not, the nomination alone makes him a torch bearer for our industry and puts the South African arts and culture industry on a world map.
