Julie Coetzee

Julie Coetzee is the Managing Director of Fly Piggy Fly Entertainment, an experienced media entrepreneur, keynote speaker, and aspiring stand-up comedian who, just over a decade has made visible strides toward transforming the television industry of the Nelson Mandela Bay. Since 2008 Fly Piggy Fly has co-produced inserts for national shows such as HecticNine9, Top Billing, and Espresso, and produced a concept for a children’s studio-based TV show, Garbage Gallery, that was commissioned for two seasons by the SABC. Internationally, Julie has produced work for clients like BBC, NBC, and ABC News, while in Port Elizabeth she has headed the renovation of a derelict 33 Chapel Street building into a creative hub and Roof Garden Bar for creatives to work, collaborate and play. Julie now utilizes her industry experience to take on local and international speaking engagements, while mentoring young people with limited to no industry experience to tell their own story through media.
