Paul Jones

Paul Jones is the Director of LUMEC, an economic development research firm based in Durban, and has 10 years’ experience working on a diverse range of projects. Through his work, Paul has gained invaluable expertise in socio-economic analysis, strategic planning, policy and strategy formulation, value chain analysis, urban development, socio-economic impact assessments. He is also a musician, surfer and an avid supporter of the arts, and combines these interests with his passion for tackling complex problems, to formulate a unique approach towards research in the cultural and creative industries. Paul is passionate about the intersection between art and development, and how data and information can be creatively represented in order to increase access and capture perceptions about crucial social and economic issues.
