Matisse outreach drive brings art to vivid life for township children
THE French modernist master Henri Matisse drew inspiration from African art and in turn inspired key South African artists, and this genius will be shared with learners from 46 previously disadvantaged schools ahead of the Henri Matisse|Rhythm and Meaning exhibition at Johannesburg’s Standard Bank Gallery from 13 July to 17 September 2016.

BASA Launches ArtsTrack No. 7
BUSINESS and Arts South Africa launched the BASA ArtsTrack No. 7 to its members, at Hollard’s Villa Arcadia in Johannesburg this morning, and also gave an overview and update on the organisation’s programmes. Following this event there will be visits to the Western Cape and KwaZulu-Natal: on the 28th June at Iziko Rust en Vreugd Museum in Cape Town, and then in Durban.
